My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World

Chapter 104

The sky was incredibly blue without a hint of clouds tainting it. The wind was blowing softly, playing with my locks of hair. The rustle of leaves created a perfect harmony with the wind and the clear sky.

I looked up at the sky, noticing a dry leave being blown by the wind.

It was my fifth day in my hometown. After my father disappeared, I had to convince my mother that he was okay, that I would find a way to find him. In the end, I suggested for her to go to England and stay with my uncle and aunt there.

So, there was only me in the house.

Of course, I wouldn’t feel alone since my White Army was always with me.

Before I returned to my hometown, I had applied for a long-term leave of study. I understood that I couldn’t concentrate on my study with my current situation. Instead of wasting my time, I decided to take a leave. My mother didn’t oppose it since she was too concerned with my father’s matter, therefore I had plenty of time to make a plan.

Before I left my dorm, I had a long talk with Uncle Ben. I explained to him some matters about Tom, leaving the fact that Tom and I was together. I also left him the details about who I was in another dimension. Uncle Ben knew I hid some things, but he didn’t force me to talk about it.

After I told him that Tom might be on his way back to his body, Uncle Ben decided that he would go back to England and looked for him. We kept each other contact so he could easily reach me when he needed me. He went on the next day.

.....

Sanji said he was going to finish some of college issue before he joined me in my hometown. Honestly, I didn’t really want his company since I was afraid I would sway to his side while Tom was not around.

Haha, just kidding. I’m a faithful girl.

Actually, Sanji was a huge help for me. He helped me going through the phase where I lost one of my foothold; my father. He was analyzing things with me and didn’t question me too much when I asked him for help. He also gave me a sense of security when he was around.

So yeah, I was expecting his coming.

Ah, I also went to Senior Rizal’s house, may he rest in peace. His family looked at me strangely but I didn’t care. I only went to show my condolences before I proceeded to go to his grave. After that, I went to Amanda’s house.

Heh, going to her house was interesting.

Just when I stepped my foot in their gate, I saw a bunch of Kuntilanak staring at me from the roof. I recognized them, of course. It seemed like the one who ordered them to attack me at that time had something to do with Amanda’s family. No wonder she also appeared there.

Now that I had unlocked my full ability, I could see a chain in their feet, tying those Kuntilanak together. The chain emitted black aura that controlled them. I recognized the aura as it belonged to the old man, Amanda’s father.

From outside, one couldn’t see these entities because there was a barrier preventing people to see their ‘pets’. But, when a person stepped into the yard, one could sense the difference atmosphere.

Apparently, those tens of Kuntilanak were not the ones that got caught by the old man. Under the big tree in the corner of the front yard was a big Genderuwo that was chained to the tree. It was eyeing me with a growl from its throat.

As I walked inside further, I saw five Buto Ijo or green goblins in the left yard. They were baring their fangs at me. I chuckled seeing them as I knew they wouldn’t attack since they were chained to a big rock.

When I knocked on the door, a tiger appeared in front of me, passing through the door and looking at me straight into my eyes.

I smiled. “Hello, Mr. Tiger. Would you allow me to knock on the door?” I asked politely.

The tiger let out a low grunt and it walked passed me. “What do you want?” I heard it asked.

I turned around and watched him laid down on the floor gracefully. I couldn’t see its mouth moved, but I was pretty sure the question was from it.

“I came to see whether this family still has some conscience inside. Their youngest daughter died, yet they didn’t seem in sorrow. Also, I came to express my condolences.”

It grunted again as it turned its head away. “You killed her, but you showed your condolences towards her family. What a joke!” He said spitefully.

I didn’t erase the smile in my face. “You know for sure why I did that. After all, she was not supposed to be alive. It’s her father decision to put the shadow inside his daughter’s body.”

The tiger sneered. “Go ahead. Knock and see it for yourself, how rotten this family has become.” It said as it laid down its head on its big paws, turning its face away from me.

My eyebrow arched when I heard that. I might be wrong but I caught a hint of disdain in his voice.

But, I didn’t continue to talk with it. Instead, I turned around and knocked on the door.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The knock was neither loud nor low, but I heard its echo. This house was surprisingly big and empty.

Not long after, the door creaked open a bit and there was a pair of eyes peeking through the opening of the door.

Those eyes were creepy. It was opened wide and I could see the red veins in it. Dark circles seemed to decorate under the eyes, making it creepier to look at. The hair was slick and long, matted to the head. It looked like this person had not washed his/her hair for a week.

“Who?” A low voice seemed to belong to the owner of that pair of eyes sounded behind the door, but I could guess that this person was not a girl.

“My name is Jane. I heard about what happened to Amanda.” I smiled.

That person widened his eyes after hearing my words. I didn’t know if he felt shocked by hearing my name or by the fact that I knew Amanda.
